As they wear the Kada as per religious significance, the iron or steel also has an importance of its own. This element signifies the strength and power of the Khals warrior. It describes that they can fight against wrong and stand indifferently as the metal iron. As the five Kakkars have been introduced for the Khals warrior, it is believed that this Punjabi Kada  gives protection from danger also.
